Volunteering

Printer-friendly version
  • Are you interested in the inland waterways and helping local community groups?
  • Do you enjoy meeting new people?
  • Can you devote some spare time to bring enjoyment and happiness to others?

We are currently looking for new volunteers - both male and female - from all ethnic groups to help crew and maintain our barge 'Ethel'.

  • Admin Support
  • Crew
  • Fund Raising
  • Publicity

Experience is not essential as full training will be provided. If you have an interest in the inland waterways and boating, we would like to hear from you.

'Ethel' is a wide-beam, purpose-built barge specifically designed to carry disabled passengers and we operate from our base in Thorne throughout the year.

We are also seeking trustees who can bring management, fundraising and voluntary sector skills to the ‘trust’.

For further information, please contact: Phil Harrison, Volunteer Co-ordinator Email us or Mobile: 07722 678168.
