Charity Partner 2010

Printer-friendly version

We are pleased that The Original Factory Shop, 14 Market Place, Thorne, Doncaster, DN8 5DP has chosen the Ethel Trust Community Barge as their Charity Partner for 2010.

A NEWLY opened Thorne store is doing its bit for a worthy cause.

The Original Factory Shop on Market Place hopes to make a difference to Ethel Trust Community Barge in the town after choosing it as its charity partner for 2010.

Following an appeal to the community to nominate local causes, colleagues at the store are gearing up to support the local organisation for the next 12 months.

A year long programme of fundraising activity is planned, with a minimum target of £500 looking to be raised for the organisation.

This was all kicked off last weekend with a special launch.

Store manager, Lisa Poulton said:
"We had a great deal of interest in the campaign from local causes looking for a helping hand and it was a very difficult decision to make.
We have chosen Ethel Trust Community Barge as we feel that we can really help over the next 12 months.
Colleagues are very excited about the scheme and cannot wait to get stuck into the fundraising initiatives we have planned.
Last weekend customers had the chance to join in the fun in store to help raise as as much money as we can for this worthy cause.
The Original Factory Shop started its search for a charity partner in September by asking local groups to write a letter of nomination to the store."
